Student Assistant for the Intelligent Production Systems Working Group (Practical Experiments and Simulation)

The development, analysis and optimization of plastics processing is one of IKV’s core competencies. In recent years, the development of technologies for the digitalization and automation of the production environment of plastics processing companies has given rise to extensive and complex research issues. IKV is working on the fusion of advanced algorithms, modeling and machine learning on the one hand and industry-oriented injection molding process engineering on the other to increase production efficiency for companies. In our working group, we investigate ways of predicting and controlling quality parameters in injection molding using data-driven models and algorithms. This is based on simulative and experimental data.

• Planning, execution and evaluation of injection molding tests
• Set up and analysis of injection molding simulations
• Support in the creation of presentations and reports
• The work areas can be adapted to suit your knowledge and preferences. Project, Bachelor’s or Master’s theses are also possible in the various areas.

• Technical studies (e.g. CES, mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science)
