AI modeling for the design of FRP production processes

In order to optimize the fiber orientation in the FRP pressing process, a model is required that enables the prediction of the properties within a short time. As this is not possible using numerical simulation, your thesis will focus on the development and improvement of a higher-level model based on simulation data.

The work is related to this research project:

Your work is part of the project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), which focuses on researching a methodology for optimizing the mechanical component properties of long-fiber-reinforced plastics.

Development of a suitable procedure to answer your research question Analogous to the Bachelor thesis
Interpretation and classification of the results The number and complexity of the approaches considered is increasing
Derive further steps to achieve the objectives of the overall project

Your profile

  • Technical or scientific studies (CES, mechanical engineering, computer science, …)
  • Interest in simulation and motivation to learn new things
  • Basic knowledge of programming
