Research laboratory or project work
Vitrimers are a completely new type of plastic that cross-link thermoset but behave thermoplastically above a certain temperature. This behavior makes Vitrimere a unique and innovative material in the plastics industry. In this literature research you will investigate the state of the art of processing vitrimers into test specimens and classify which processing methods have already been investigated. This work will lay the foundation for practical experiments, which will no longer be part of the advertised work.

Materials technology working group:
In the Materials Technology working group, we deal with materials-related topics in the areas of production, recycling and, most recently, vitrimers. You will be integrated into a four-person working group and can gain your first experience of scientific work alongside other students.
These could be your tasks:
For research laboratory work: For project work: |
Collection of literature on the topic of vitrimers Collection of literature on the topic of vitrimers |
Categorisation of the literature into manufacturing processes Categorisation of the literature into manufacturing processes and processing properties |
Classification of the research focus of the literature |
These are your benefits:
- Work in a young, motivated team
- Co-design of current research projects
- Clearly defined task
- Very fast processing
- Immediate start possible
Your profile:
- Technical or scientific degree (e.g. mechanical engineering, industrial engineering specializing in mechanical engineering, CES, materials science)
- Dealing with literature databases
- Organised and independent work
