Large quantities of plastic waste are often generated during production, which could be avoided by improving tool components and gaining a better understanding of the interaction between different process parameters.<\/p>\n<p><b>Extrusion tools:<br \/>\n<\/b>In the &#8220;Extrusion tools\/CAE&#8221; working group, we therefore deal with the computer-aided design and optimization of tool components for extrusion lines. Numerical flow simulations, data analyses and additive manufacturing processes enable us to increase efficiency by geometrically optimizing components, improving temperature control and predicting optimum process parameters.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section id=\"cpt-job-wysiwyg-block_2a7fe13035a0a802d0d6dfb8370a1e54\" class=\"block-cpt-job-wysiwyg pb-base\">\n    <h3 class=\"h2 text-lg\">Your tasks<\/h3>\n    <div class=\"wysiwyg container py-2 m-0 text-base\">\n        <p>Your activities may include carrying out experimental investigations on pilot plants, performing and evaluating flow simulations in OpenFOAM, and designing molds and geometries for simulation purposes.<\/p>\n<p>The areas of work can be adapted to suit your knowledge and preferences.
