They form the basis of material and process simulations that allow statements to be made about the processing behavior of polymer materials and future component properties. The validity of the material models must be proven by practical tests. IKV supported a university in the validation of a material model for a polystyrene material, as the corresponding technical equipment was not available there. Several measurements were carried out for each process point in the test plan. Stress-strain curves were created from the data for each process point.
