However, partially cross-linked epoxy resins can be plastically deformed within a suitable temperature and cross-linking range. To model this process numerically, the nonlinear material behavior must be taken into account in a simulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The work is related to this research project:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The \u201cEPForm\u201d research project is investigating how partially cross-linked thermosets and fiber-reinforced composites can be thermally formed after the fact. Experimental data and initial modeling approaches are available to describe the material&#8217;s behavior. Building on this, a User Material Subroutine (UMAT) will be developed for Abaqus and used to simulate a forming process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objective:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Development of a UMAT for Abaqus and creation of a simulation model to describe the hot forming of partially cross-linked thermosets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3
