A layer of long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic is applied to two joined tapes (green and yellow) via coextrusion. This allows for a range of stiffness levels for use in lightweight products. Uniform, flat extrusion and a defined layer thickness are the key criteria for successful process control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The work is related to this research project:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The research project is a sub-project of the DediGrad Collaborative Research Center and deals with the production of graded, fiber-reinforced semi-finished products. Various tapes, profiles and press compounds are produced with different fiber volume contents and partly recycled plastics in order to be subsequently integrated into components in other sub-projects of the Collaborative Research Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objective:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The goal of this project is to integrate a coextrusion die into the IKV&#8217;s existing tape production line and to determine suitable process parameters. These are evaluated based on the mechanical properties, dimensional accuracy, fiber length distribution, and fiber orientation of the coextruded profiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3
