The proportion of recycled materials is increasing not only in the packaging sector, but also in plastic products with complex mechanical requirements. The crash properties of components exposed to highly dynamic loads in particular must remain largely unaffected by the use of recycled materials. This is also the case in the automotive sector. Here, protection for drivers and pedestrians must continue to be guaranteed by splinter-free failure. For this purpose, it is necessary to investigate the crash behavior of plastics with recycled content and compare it with the crash behavior of virgin material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The work is written in this working group:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your thesis will be written in the dynamic testing department at the Center for Plastics Analysis and Testing (KAP) of the Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV). You will help design and carry out all processes, from sample preparation and conducting the subsequent tests to analyzing the results. The interpretation of the generated results and their classification in the context of highly dynamic stress situations is the final sub-step.
