However, the measurement of viscosity and wall slip effects of plastics and rubbers is made more difficult because the pressure is measured at a maximum of three points and interpolation is required between these points. The resulting imprecise estimation makes the efficient design of extrusion tools more difficult. In this work, you can design a rheometer that can measure the pressure at any point on the rheometer and thus make a clear statement about the processing properties of the material. The local pressure distribution in the rheometer becomes visible via a deformable membrane. The challenge here is that the membrane must deform sufficiently to ensure measurability, but on the other hand must not deform plastically or, as the title says, &#8220;explode&#8221;. Your virtually designed membrane can then be manufactured and tested in practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The work is related to this research project:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The research project includes the design of a membrane rheometer, the determination of the effects of a defined pressure curve on the membrane and the conversion of the membrane deformation to the existing pressure distribution as well as the metrological recording of the membrane deformation. The application-oriented characterization of wall-sliding plastics and rubbers then makes it possible to improve the flow simulation and design of extrusion tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2
