Continuous fiber-reinforced profiles are increasingly being used for this purpose. Manufactured in a pultrusion process, inexpensive and lightweight profiles are produced in a continuous process. The fibers are impregnated with the plastic in the form of rovings (fiber bundles) during the process and formed directly into the finished profile. In order to use these products sustainably, it is essential to minimise pollutant emissions and material consumption during production. On the other hand, the use of highly reactive recyclable materials is essential. Based on a new analysis method, conclusions can be drawn about the flows and flow paths in injection boxes. In addition, the design of injection boxes can be optimised with regard to short dwell times and the avoidance of deposits.
