This work contributes to the optimization of a new Direct Compounding and Injection Molding (DCIM) system and its market viability.                            <\/div>\n                        <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n                            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Topic of the Thesis:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recycling is an indispensable part of a circular economy. In this context, technical molded parts, among other things, must be fed into a recycling process. However, (repeated) recycling leads to cumulative damage to the material, as a result of which the properties of the recyclates decrease significantly with an increasing number of recycling cycles. A promising approach to minimizing degradation is the DCIM process, which combines compounding and injection moulding in one process. A major advantage of this process is that, in contrast to conventional processing, the material is only melted once. The project aims to develop and optimize a new DCIM system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objective:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of this thesis is to investigate the influence of different process parameters and the machine configuration on the resulting properties of recycled materials.
