On Saturday 20 June 2026, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University opened its doors for this year’s Mechanical Engineering Day – transforming the Melaten campus into a vibrant hub where technology, curiosity and enthusiasm came together.
At 11 o’clock sharp, Dean Prof. Dr Wolfgang Schröder opened the event on the forecourt of the Institute for Plastics Processing (IKV) at Seffenter Weg 201. Families, students, and prospective students came together to explore the diverse world of mechanical engineering—with exciting presentations, fascinating experiments, and hands-on activities for all age groups.
