Student & research assistants

Successful research at IKV depends on over 150 student assistants (Hiwis). For the institute, an excellent engineering education means much more than just passing exams.

IKV offers graduates of technical and scientific degree courses the opportunity to do a doctorate as well as a variety of apprenticeships and positions in the fields of technology and administration.

Apprenticeships at IKV

In cooperation with RWTH Aachen University, IKV offers numerous opportunities to complete vocational training. In addition to vocational school and training blocks in which the trainees are taught at the RWTH, the trainees spend a large part of their practical training at IKV. Every trainee therefore has a trainer who accompanies them throughout their training.
