Research laboratory or project work
The cavity pressure can be controlled to increase process consistency during injection molding. Control by means of the hot runner valve pin makes it possible to specifically influence the melt flow in the mold, which enables cavity-specific control.

The work is written in this working group
You will write your thesis in the process control working group, in which a control concept for regulating the melt flow in the injection mold by varying hot runner needles is being developed. Varying the opening stroke influences the pressure resistance in the flow channel and thus the volume flow of the corresponding gate. The force on the hot runner needle is intended to identify uneven filling of the cavities.
