Bachelor thesis or Master thesis
Topic of the work:
The work deals with the production of unidirectional fiber-reinforced tape using polypropylene recyclate as a matrix material. The influences of various impurities on the fiber impregnation and mechanical properties of the tape or tape laminates are being investigated.

The work is related to this research project:
“Melt impregnation with recyclate as matrix material” The research project is a sub-project of the DediGrad Collaborative Research Center and deals with the production of graded, fiber-reinforced semi-finished products from recycled materials. Various tapes, profiles and press compounds are produced with different fiber volume contents and partly recycled plastics in order to be subsequently integrated into components in other sub-projects of the Collaborative Research Centre.
Objective:
The aim of the work is to investigate recyclates, categorize impurities and determine their influence on semi-finished products. For this purpose, compounds are specifically contaminated to a certain degree and tapes are produced from this material. The mechanical properties and impregnation quality of the glass fiber should be correlated with the type and degree of contamination.
Your task:
