In order to optimize the bond strength of micro-molded plastic/metal components, a filling of microstructures must be ensured.

The work is related to this research project:
In the DFG project “SiMiFo”, IKV is working on the investigation of hybrid components that are joined using laser microstructuring in order to facilitate their use in industrial products.
Objective:
The aim of the work is to model the filling behavior of microstructures in the injection molding process using sensor data, experimental results and, if necessary, injection molding simulations. A large database for analyzing the microstructure filling of plastic/metal hybrid components has already been generated in practical tests. This is now to be converted into a model for predicting microstructure filling. In addition to the test data, physical effects and simulation data are to be taken into account.
