Plasma reactor also seeks sample holder

Research laboratory or project work

The goal of your work is to develop and test a sample holder for a plasma reactor.

In an existing plasma reactor, it is possible to coat hollow objects such as bottles or cups. For some analysis methods, however, it is necessary to coat small flat samples. To attach these, they are usually attached to the inside of a bottle and coated. As this procedure is only reproducible to a limited extent, you would develop a customised holder in your research laboratory that enables a reproducible coating. To achieve this, a selection of materials must be made and the requirements of manufacturability and applicability must be reconciled.

The thesis is being written in the Plasma and Surface Technology working group. In addition to layer development and analysis, we also deal with the design and optimisation of plasma reactors. Plasma layers are an important mould for achieving closed material cycles, as they promote the use of monomaterial solutions and thus simplify recycling processes.
