Research Lab Work or Project Work
© IKVTopic of the Work:
In the course of sustainability, it is important to avoid rejects of injection molded components as far as possible. This is why geometrically high-precision molded parts with good reproducibility are in high demand. Process simulation is a standard tool for designing these molded parts. The quality of the simulation depends largely on the material data used. Since the determination of these using conventional methods is extremely time-consuming and costly, this work investigates a possibility for adapting material data based on process data.
The Work is related to following Research Project:
The work is part of the I-MapS project, which aims to develop a methodology for intelligent material map adaptation for precise deformation simulation of injection molded parts. The first step is to develop an algorithm for adapting material cards based on the results of injection molding tests. Machine learning methods are then used to enable faster and more accurate adaptation of the material cards.
