PolyEx: Central Training Platform for the Plastics Processing Industry
Polymer Excellence (PolyEx) provides a central hub for organizing and supporting individual and corporate training activities in the plastics processing industry. The platform connects existing offerings and promotes exchange within the sector.

Securing the competitiveness of the German plastics industry in the high-wage sector can only be guaranteed through a combination of quality production and high flexibility in manufacturing. A key aspect of this is the efficient, plastics-related training of employees in activities that require a significant level of understanding of the material. Polymer Excellence (PolyEx) acts as a central authority in the activation, management and support of individual and company training activities for these employees. PolyEx sees itself as a platform for networking existing training programs within the plastics processing industry.
Increasing the transparency and visibility of further education offers enables optimized findability of learning content and intuitive navigation, even for heterogeneous target groups. The centralized presentation of content enables users to control their personal training path using artificial intelligence (AI). This ensures customized training that integrates the user’s interests and skills in the best possible way. The AI supports the user in navigating and selecting suitable training opportunities. In addition to individual and needs-based support for those interested in further training, companies are also offered a platform on which the qualifications of their employees can be managed. In order to ensure transparency with regard to existing further training courses and to enable the development of further courses on topics that are currently in demand, training providers are also integrated into the platform as relevant players.
