HiWi in the injection moulding research area: Process control

Practical and simulation-based work related to process control in injection moulding.

To support our research group in the field of process control in injection moulding, we are looking for enthusiastic students with an interest in hands-on work with injection moulding machines. As part of the experiments, innovative control systems aimed at improving process consistency will be investigated. The quality and productivity of injection moulding processes are essential, particularly in industries such as automotive, electronics, and medical technology. Cutting-edge control strategies that account for the complex material behaviour of plastics enhance both product and process quality.

Your tasks:

As a student assistant, you will support our team in current research and industry projects. Your tasks will include the preparation and execution of injection moulding tests. You will then evaluate the experiments. In the long term, your tasks will also include carrying out injection moulding simulations. The results you achieve are processed and summarised.

What you should bring with you:

  • Independent, structured and autonomous work
  • Technical or scientific studies (mechanical engineering, materials science, etc.)
  • Interest in long-term cooperation
  • Knowledge in the field of simulation or willingness to familiarise yourself with the field
  • Enjoy practical work

What we offer you:

  • Varied and challenging activities
  • Collaboration on current research topics
  • Extensive training in your activities Flexible working hours
